How to Apply

City and Country School is a co-ed institution for children ages two through eighth grade, located in the West Village of Manhattan. Applications for the 2023–2024 school year will be accepted from August 1, 2022 through December 1, 2022, and on a rolling basis thereafter. We process applications for two age ranges: 2s–4s, and 5s and older. Select an age group below for detailed information on how to apply.

2s–4s (Nursery through Pre-K)
For families looking to apply for their child for our 2s or 3s program for the 2023–2024 school year, your child will need to turn two (or three) on or before August 1, 2023. If you are looking to apply for our 4s program (Pre-K), your child will need to turn four on or before October 1, 2023.

5s–13s (Kindergarten through 8th Grade)
For families looking to apply for their child for 5s—13s, the birthday cut-off is October 1, 2023. For example, children applying for the 5s (Kindergarten) should be five years old on or before October 1, 2023.
