Application Process: Groups 2 to 4

For the 2021-2022 school year, the birthday cut-off date for children applying to the 2s - 4s is August 1, 2021; for all other Groups: October 1, 2021. (For example, children applying for the 2s must be two years old before August 1, 2021.)

Submitting an Application

Applications for the 2021-2022 school year will be processed beginning on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Once we receive your application, we will email you to schedule two things: an interview with Elise Bauer or Nick Smart from Admissions, and a conversation with a current C&C parent who has a child in the age group to which you are applying. All applicants must submit a non-refundable $75 application fee. Thank you!

Learning About C&C

Beginning mid-September, we will be hosting a number of Virtual Info Sessions. These sessions offer a detailed look at our school, including a photo and video presentation about our program, and a virtual mingling session with current parents. Click here to register for one of our upcoming sessions. You are not required to submit an application prior to attending an info session.

Virtual Open House. You are encouraged to attend our Virtual Open House on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Though attendance at the Open House is not required, we hope you’ll join us because unlike the Info Sessions, you’ll have the chance to speak with teachers as well as our current 13s. Ideally, though not imperative, you will have attended an Info Session before the Open House so your conversations will be informed by an understanding of our program. School Reports

School reports. If your child attends school, we ask that you request the school to submit the most recent school report. All school reports should be submitted to no later than January 10, 2021.

Child Visits

Applicants for the 2s, 3s, and 4s groups will be invited to visit with us in January and February, either via Zoom or in person, depending on the state of the pandemic. Please expect to hear from us in December to set up that appointment.

Immunization Requirements

The New York State Department of Health and the New York City Department of Education require all children to be vaccinated prior to admission.

A Special Note About Our Application Form

A special note about our application form: Our application has several open-ended questions that will help us to get to know you and your child. Please know that we expect only a couple of sentences as answers to these questions. Our goal is to make the best match that we can between a family and the School. Of course, we also keep in mind our goal of creating a diverse and balanced population.
