PRESS ROOM: Director of Middle/Upper School Alex Ragone on NPR

Over the summer, Alex Ragone, City and Country School's Director of Middle/Upper School, was selected to participate in a book discussion on NPR’s The Takeaway.
Alex discussed Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between the World and Me, a powerful meditation on race framed as a letter to Coates' teenage son which Toni Morrison has reviewed as “required reading.” The other participants were Abel Bartley, Associate Professor of African American and Urban History at Clemson University, and Anita Romero Warren, Director of Operations for Weeksville Heritage Center. The entire, uncut discussion can be found here. The nine-minute version that aired nationwide on The Takeaway can be found here.
