City and Country School Advances Community-Driven Strategic Planning Process

City and Country School is pleased to share an update on its ongoing strategic planning process, a comprehensive, community-driven effort that is currently underway and engaging stakeholders across the school.

At the recent Spring Celebration, Principal Frank Patti highlighted early progress in the planning process and shared a video celebrating community achievements, namely the purchase of the adjacent property for school expansion.

Over the past several months, the Strategic Plan Steering Committee has conducted an extensive review of institutional and sector-wide data to inform the school’s future direction. This work has included analysis of the 2025 NYSAIS reaccreditation report, survey feedback from over 150 community respondents, interviews with representatives from all stakeholder groups, and a range of operational data.

From this analysis, the Steering Committee identified five key themes that will serve as the foundation of the strategic plan.

To translate these themes into actionable priorities, the school convened five Design Teams comprised of more than 60 participants, including faculty, staff, administrators, parents, alumni, and current and former members of the Board of Trustees. These teams are currently developing detailed action plans aligned with the identified strategic priorities.

The Design Teams will complete their draft recommendations by early May. These drafts will then be synthesized by the Steering Committee into a comprehensive strategic plan, which will undergo further refinement before being presented to the Board of Trustees at the end of the school year.

“We are grateful for the extraordinary engagement of our community throughout this process,” said Frank. “This has been a deeply collaborative effort, and we are well on our way to shaping a strategic plan that reflects both our values and our aspirations for the future.”

City and Country School extends its appreciation to all community members who have contributed their time, insight, and expertise to this ongoing work.
