Celebrating 12/13 Volleyball's Season of Grit, Talent, and Care

The 12/13 team finished their interscholastic season with an impressive 6-1 record, securing second place overall. While the team’s record is remarkable, it was their care, talent, and grit that truly stood out this season.

Some would say their powerful overhand serves, precise passing, and dynamic spiking were executed with such ease, it seemed effortless. The players’ skills were far beyond what most would expect, showcasing not only their technical ability but their natural chemistry on the court.

The season culminated in the tournament finals, where the team’s undefeated streak came to an end. Though the final result didn’t go their way, the game was a testament to everything the team represented: care, talent, and an unshakable grit. The outcome may have been disappointing, but the performance was a reflection of the team's hard work and dedication.

Todd, the athletic coordinator, reflected on the season, saying, “I can’t tell you how much fun it was to watch them play. Ben and I high-tailed it over from the younger team’s game and, as always, were so impressed by the overhand serves, dynamic passing, and spiking—skills that seemed so far above the level we had just coached. Yet they made it look easy! I truly hope everyone is proud of what was accomplished this season.”

To celebrate the team’s outstanding season, everyone was invited to the annual Staff-Student game, which took place on Thursday, November 7th, from 3:45 to 4:45. It was a great way to conclude the season and recognize the effort and dedication that went into it.
